Baldwin Financial, LLC

You built more than a portfolio.
We plan for all of it.

You have built more than you have organized. That’s normal, and it’s fixable. Planning, investments, tax and estate in one room, with people who talk to each other.

What people actually ask us

  • My income doubled but my tax bill tripled. The surgeon.
  • When do I exercise, and what does waiting cost me? The executive.
  • Should I take more salary or more distributions? The business owner.
  • Everything I have is tied up in the company. Is that a problem? The founder.
  • What happens to the practice if I stop working? The dentist.
  • My K-1 changes every year. How do I plan around that? The attorney.
  • Do the kids inherit this the way we intended? The parents.

Fiduciary duty, alwaysYour interest comes first, in writing, on every recommendation.

I

Recognition

Financial advice should begin with the whole picture.

Most people we sit down with don’t have one financial life. They have accounts opened in different decades, an entity or two, a CPA, an attorney, a 401(k) from a job they left in 2011, and a set of priorities that shifted somewhere along the way without anyone writing it down.

What’s usually missing isn’t advice. It’s coordination. Somebody holding all of it at once, who can tell you how a decision here quietly changes the math over there.

You shouldn’t have to retell your financial story every time you need help.

II

Family-office thinking

Your values at the center.
Our four areas around them.

A distribution is a tax decision. Selling your business is an estate decision. An insurance renewal changes your cash flow. Handled apart, each one looks perfectly reasonable on its own. Together they quietly cost you money. Held in one place, they start working for each other.

So we don’t start with your portfolio. We start with what your family cares about and where you are trying to get to, then work outward.

Your family values and goals sit at the center. Around them, the four areas we work in: financial planning, wealth management, tax planning and estate planning. Around those, what they serve: retirement, your business, the next generation, and risk. Values and goals

The center of the diagram, and the start of every conversation. We come back to it every time a decision gets difficult.

The four areas we work in

Planning, wealth, tax and estate. Held together rather than split across three firms, because every real question touches more than one.

What they serve

Retirement, your business, the next generation, and the risks that could interrupt any of it.

III

The team

A small team with the reach of a large one.

You will always know who has your file, and you will never be passed down a line. Our team is small on purpose, which is why the same faces show up meeting after meeting, and why nobody ever asks you to explain your situation from the beginning again.

What lets a firm our size do this depth of work is the technology sitting underneath it. Account opening, reporting, estate visualization, scenario modeling, secure document exchange. Work that used to take a back office now runs quietly in the background, and it hands the hours back to the part that matters, which is the conversation with you.

It also means distance stops mattering. We meet clients at our office in downtown Oklahoma City, and we work just as closely with families two time zones away.

The people who learn your situation are the people who pick up when you call.

Custody, tax returns and legal drafting sit with the professionals licensed to perform them: your custodian, your CPA, your attorney. Keeping everyone working from the same plan is our job. It is not a claim to do theirs.

IV

Anticipation

The best planning happens before the decision becomes urgent.

Most financial advice shows up after the moment that mattered has already passed. The work we care about happens earlier, on a calendar rather than in a crisis.

Before year-end

Tax moves, while there’s still time to make them

Which account to draw from first, whether this is the year to convert, which gains and losses to take, and when to give. All of it looked at while it can still change your number, then handed to your CPA so the return matches the plan.

When cash is needed

Distributions planned before the quarter, not during it

Where a withdrawal comes from is a tax decision as much as a cash one. Deciding it early is usually worth more than deciding it well under pressure.

After a life event

Estate work, revisited

A marriage, a birth, a death, a sale, a move. Every one of them is a reason to check that your titling and beneficiaries still say what you’d actually want them to say.

Before a renewal

Plan and policy decisions, taken early

Retirement plan design and insurance coverage looked at ahead of the date that forces a decision, rather than in the week it lands on your desk.

That is how we approach planning. It is not a guarantee that every opportunity, deadline or risk gets caught.

V

The engagement

How this actually goes.

Five steps, in order. We will never need something from you that we have not asked for plainly, and you will always know exactly where you are in the five.

  1. 01

    Understand

We start with everything. Accounts, entities, documents, obligations, and the priorities sitting underneath all of it.

What you get One written inventory of what you own, what you owe, and what you have already signed. Most people have never seen it in one place.
  2. 02

    Organize

Your accounts, your goals, your decisions and the professionals already advising you get pulled into one structure that makes sense.

What you get A single place the whole picture lives, and a short list of what needs attention first.
  3. 03

    Design

One strategy across investments, taxes, retirement, estate and cash flow, with the tradeoffs said out loud rather than buried.

What you get A written plan you can act on this month, and the reasoning behind every recommendation in it.
  4. 04

    Implement

We put the agreed actions in motion and stay on them until they are finished.

What you get Every action with a name against it. Ours, yours, or someone else on your team. Nothing sitting in the gap between us.
  5. 05

    Refine

We revisit the plan as markets, tax law, your business, your family and your goals move.

What you get Reviews already on the calendar, and a call from us when something changes that you ought to know about.

Advisory services start only after a written agreement is signed. The first conversation doesn’t create an advisory relationship on its own.

You should never have to call us to find out where you stand. Accounts live in Altruist, your estate plan lives in Wealth.com, and both logins are yours around the clock. Nothing in them routes through us first.

Get there early

Conversions, distributions and gifts sit on a calendar we watch, so the decision happens while the outcome can still move.

The screens above are an illustration of how we organize a household, not a client account, and nothing in them represents past or expected investment performance. Altruist and Wealth.com are unaffiliated third parties, and each holds your login rather than ours. If you cannot get in, call the office and we will sort it out with you.

What this actually means

Everything you built, held in one place. Everyone who depends on it, accounted for. One team that knows all of it, and picks up when you call.

An invitation

One conversation is usually enough
to know whether this is worth continuing.

Thirty minutes, by video, phone, or in person in downtown Oklahoma City. Nothing to prepare and nothing to bring.

What the thirty minutes look like

  1. 01

You talk. What you own, what you owe, who depends on you, and whatever is coming up that you have not solved yet.

  2. 02

We tell you what we see. The two or three things we would look at first, and why those and not the rest.

  3. 03

You decide, on your own time. If we are not the right fit, we will say so and point you toward someone who is.
